If you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship please get help. There are many options to help you get out of the situation safely. Contact your local safe home. They can give you the resources that you will need to help you leave safely. They can also provide any counseling needed. They provide very secure housing for you and your children to stay if desired. If you are unsure of how to get in touch with you local safe home you can call the National Domestic Violence Hotline. There number is 1-800-799-SAFE. They have advocates available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They will be more than happy to help provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and information or referrals to agencies in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you are in need of immediate assistance call 911. If you intend on leaving pull together an exit strategy. Pack a bag with things that you would need, such as identification, a change of clothes, a list of important numbers, etc.Want someone to talk to? Need encouragement?
